of seven phases; from Analysis through Maintenance. Each phase is
outlined below:
1. Site Analysis Through
the thorough examination of an existing site, I determine its strengths
and weaknesses including: usability, download times, design
and overall efficiency. I then document and recommend strategies to
improve your site's performance to better meet your business objectives.
2. Internet Strategy By
thoroughly evaluating your business and goals, I transform business ideas
into Web solutions. This is done by both defining your business
objectives and gearing those objectives towards your target market.3. Information Architecture Information
Architecture is the logical information structure of a website. Because
it determines the navigational structure, it is
crucial to your site's success. The data is organized by first
determining user-oriented tasks, and then structuring that information
so users can accomplish these tasks intuitively.4. User Interface Design The Graphical User Interface (GUI) is the integration of brand strategy
and corporate identity, navigation, and information design. I create
the GUI design to provide a positive visual experience and an intuitive
reference for navigation through the site.5. Content for the Web Web publishing is drastically different than writing for print. I help
optimize your content by determining the voice and tone of the content
for your website and establishing the Content Strategy. I can also
provide content development, editorial support, and assistance in
selecting images, sound, and video to enrich the user-experience.6. Site Production Site
Production involves constructing the site in its entirety, based on a series
of client approvals to-date. I develop websites using
HTML as the primary language, with Flash, JavaScript and other media
applications as needed.7. Maintenance Website maintenace is a much needed and often over-looked and non-budgeted expense. I always seek to maintain my client's websites in order to continue refining the content and its presentation. The most effective sites are the ones which carefully represent themselves as timely and responsive to user input. That is what I provide.
