Brochure for Service Learning Institute at CSUMB

This is a 1-color brochure
I created for the Service Learning Institute at CSUMB to complement their recruitment
efforts.

The challenge was to appeal to the local community in a very inexpensive and
environmentally-responsible fashion. Soy-based inks were selected for the final
legal-sized brochure.
Poster for CSUMB Media Production CD-Burning Service

This is a 28"x22" poster
advertizing CD-burning services offered by our studio before the days of personal
CDRs. This was our only source of external revenue and was very important to
capitalize on.
CSUMB
Vision Statement graphic presentation

I was honored to be selected
to develop the official graphic look to the incredible text of the
CSUMB
Vision Statement. This graphic was printed, framed and given to incoming faculty and
staff in support of the CSUMB vision.

The scene is of the Big Sur coast in southern
Monterey County.
Campus Events posters

As the Lead Designer/
Art Director of the Media Production Studio, I was given the opportunity to develop
many, many posters in support of campus events and academic activities.

Shown here are posters for the Design Lecture Series, as well as the President's
Syposium.
Presentation Slides

These are but a few
of the many presentation slides I made for various organizations at CSUMB
to support their lectures and events.

Pictured are slide backgrounds
for New Media Services "Munch with Mike," the Provost's "Faculty Orientation,
" and the Earth Systems Science and Technology funding presentation.
ICST Identity poster

I was greatly honored
to create the recruitment/ identity poster for the Institute for Communication
Science and Technology (ICST) at CSUMB. The Institute hosted my program of
study and I worked closely with the staff and faculty on a daily basis. This
was fun and very rewarding.
Gila River theater pack
"Gila River" is a play
by Lane Nishikawa about a family of Japanese-Americans during the internment
period of WW2 and I was selected to produce ALL collateral to accompany it.
This included: posters, flyers, tickets, programs, web page and slideshow.
SOAR CD project

This multmedia CD was
an interactive, virtual-reality-based program that was meant to appeal to prospective
students.

I was Art Director for
this project and designed the interface and specifications for the project.
TAT Capstone poster

I designed and produced
this poster for the
Institute for Teledramatic Arts and Technology (TAT) to accompany other development
done by TAT's own Charlie Wallace. The illustration concept was his and I designed
and created the graphics for the poster in time for the grand Capstone event.
CSUMB Web redesign

I was fortunate to
work along with CSUMB's Web Specialist, Greg Pool, to redesign the university's
website. We married a unique user-based navigation system with a campaign called
"Something Extra!" to make a cutting-edge, accessible website.

Visit the
current
website where you can see many of our design elements still
in use.
My Capstone "The World is Not Enough"

This is a screen capture
of the animation I made for my Capstone project called "The World is Not
Enough." I took too large a bite on this project and found that I couldn't
swallow it all. This four minute animated short is set to Garbage's song by
the same name — remixed by the Dust Brothers.
Seafloor Mapping Lab brochure

This is the very first
professional design job I took on with my partner, Evan Rusackas, after graduation.
I rank this 4-color print job as one of the jobs with the sweetest results.
The brochure turned out beautifully and just screams "Sea+Technology." Detail screenshots
to come...
